Job Summary
Operate vacuum equipment to clean oil/water separators, grit traps, and grease interceptors for commercial and industrial clients, managing heavy hoses over long distances. Complete sludge judge readings, perform line jetting services, and ensure all collected material complies with waste handling protocols. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections using electronic DVIR systems and document work via tablet-based routing. Respond to emergency service requests and participate in the on-call rotation as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm with occasional Saturdays, typically totaling 60 to 65 hours weekly. This role requires a valid CDL Class A and one year of commercial driving experience, with a preference for vacuum truck operators.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A
- Automatic drivers accepted
- One year of commercial driving experience
- Vacuum truck experience
- Willingness and ability to work in messy, smelly, and physically challenging environments
- Able to lift 55+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must pass DOT physical and be medically qualified to operate a commercial vehicle
- Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse prior to hire
Desired Qualifications
- Military equivalent acceptable for driving experience
- Industrial or septic/grease vacuum truck experience
