Job Summary
Install, commission, maintain, service, troubleshoot, and decommission Company rental fleet compressor packages within the assigned territory. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on high pressure gas lift skid mounted units, inspect components using diagnostic equipment, and diagnose engine and control system failures. Order, store, and control inventory of parts to maximize timely response while avoiding excessive stock. Submit daily maintenance reports and identify recurring issues for technical teams. Build relationships with natural gas customers to report new business opportunities and potential hiring needs. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge
- Customer focused
- 6 months – 2 years of experience in maintaining natural gas compression equipment, including natural gas engines, compressors, control panels, skid wiring and conduit, end devices, tubing, vessels, and coolers
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
- Set of hand tools up to 1 ¼"
- Proficient English language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
- Computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass drug screens and background checks
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer associates degree or higher in related field
- Prefer bilingual in English/Spanish
- Prefer knowledge of proper purging and loading practices and procedures
- Prefer ability to interpret compressor performance runs, calculate engine horsepower and calculate gas volumes
