Job Summary
Field Service Lead role focused on advanced technical support and escalation for FW Murphy control panels, automation systems, and engineered solutions. Acts as a liaison among customers, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Technical Support to ensure timely issue resolution, coordinates field service activities, supports startup/commissioning remotely and on-site, and mentors field personnel. Requires deep expertise in industrial control systems, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical systems, with a track record in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and delivering high-quality customer service. Travel to customer sites is required; role offers hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for leadership development and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Industrial Technology, Automation, or related technical field preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in field service, technical support, controls engineering, automation systems, or related industrial environments
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, electrical systems, and automation technologies
- Experience supporting industrial control panels, engine/compressor applications, or related automation systems preferred
- Ability to travel up to 35%
- Willingness to travel and support after-hours as required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Mentoring or guidance experience for technical teams preferred
