Job Summary

Lead a team of Field Service technicians performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of equipment while providing telephone customer support. Collaborate with engineering and project management to improve processes, conduct performance evaluations, and manage workload assignments. Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding new technicians, identify skill development needs, and maintain test equipment calibration. Follow strict safety protocols, adhere to quality standards, and track customer calls post-service. Maintain situational awareness around active machinery and work in extreme weather conditions. Requires 25-50% overnight travel and 10+ years of field service experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a supervisor leading multiple Field Service Technicians in a technical field
  • Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation & controls including analog transmitters, temperature/pressure measuring devices, PID controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop new MIRATECH Field Service Technicians
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and work in a loosely structured environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • 25 - 50% overnight travel - with higher concentrations during peak seasons
  • 10+ years prior field service technician experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Applicant must pass a proficiency test
  • Must possess valid driver's license and passport
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods
  • Must be able to work on uneven terrain, scaffolds, ladders, catwalks, and elevated platforms
  • Must maintain physical stamina during physically and mentally demanding tasks, including travel and variable shift work
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials and tools up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids
  • Must be able to transport tools and equipment across job sites and within confined or restricted-access areas
  • Must be able to perform tasks at elevations exceeding 6 feet, using aerial lifts, scaffolding, or fall protection systems in accordance with OSHA standards
  • Must be able to enter, work in, and exit confined spaces, including tanks, ducts, and engine compartments, under permit-required confined space procedures
  • Must maintain situational awareness around active machinery and energized systems
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) and around loud noise, dust, fumes, vibration, and engine exhaust
  • Must maintain clear vision (corrective lenses permitted), color recognition, and depth perception
  • Must be able to detect abnormal sounds, smells, or vibrations from mechanical equipment
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, interpret technical drawings/manuals, and communicate hazards and tasks clearly with team members
