Job Summary
Field Service Supervisor responsible for directly supervising field service technicians and the daily operations of the Machine Field Service Department. Primary duties include enforcing safety standards, coordinating seamless handoffs of field service processes to customers and internal teams, interpreting policies and DOT regulations, optimizing work procedures and schedules, maximizing truck utilization and efficiency, managing work orders, payroll, and WIP, monitoring technician performance against KPIs, driving customer satisfaction, handling quote reviews to manage margins, recruiting and retaining technicians, prioritizing service calls, performing routine truck inspections, maintaining tooling inventories, and fostering teamwork and high performance. Proficiency in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint and reporting tools (Cognos, Crystal Reports, Tableau) is required; travel up to 20% and a safety-sensitive role are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with five years of experience in a related industry; strong knowledge of machine service issues, business accounting, and leadership; preferred two years of supervisory experience in a service environment; ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees; ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and handle routine protocols; willingness to learn CAT DBS System, Lotus Notes, and SIS; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and reporting tools (Cognos, Crystal Reports, Tableau).
