Job Summary
Lead startup, commissioning, and maintenance of Armstrong equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives and control panels, while diagnosing and repairing issues across pumps and automated valves. Handle service requests, complaints, and startup inquiries via calls and emails, scheduling and managing service visits effectively. Conduct training sessions for service teams, mechanical contractors, and operators, and document work through the online portal. Travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time, with occasional trips to other parts of the USA, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. Build strong client relationships, identify sales opportunities, and collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to support product development. Report product issues and contribute to design improvements based on field insights.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or designation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation
- Proven experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong software skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with serial communications
- Experience in commercial construction
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment
