Job Summary
Lead startup, commissioning, and maintenance of Armstrong equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives and control panels, while diagnosing and repairing issues across pumps and automated valves. Handle service requests and startup inquiries via calls and emails, managing service visits and providing on-site training to operators and contractors. Document work through an online portal, share field insights with the After Sales team, and assist with site equipment connectivity. Travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time, including occasional trips elsewhere in the USA, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for urgent support. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to support product development and report on product issues for design improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or designation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation
- Proven experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong software skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls
- Expect to travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time, with occasional trips to other parts of the USA
- Be part of a team providing after-hours support to address urgent service issues
