Job Summary
Operate, instruct, and evaluate Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) in the field, specifically the Jump20 platform, while ensuring all flight and ground operations follow established procedures. Perform and oversee flight demonstrations in support of the AV product line and Business Development, coordinating directly with agencies and customers to plan personnel and equipment for Flight Demo Events. Provide customer on-site software and hardware upgrades, conduct periodic site visits to assess mission readiness, and maintain situational awareness of air vehicle location and threats. Lead training for students and instructors, capture critical information for after-action reports, and advise authorities of any changes affecting planned operations. Requires a clean driving record, availability for up to 80% travel including CONUS and OCONUS deployments, and a Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Prior military experience or equivalent training experience in an aircraft / aerospace manufacturing firm
- Demonstrated understanding of military tactics, operations, GPS and Navigation utilizing map and compass
- Experienced interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blueprint or sketches
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency with office software and productivity tools
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Clean driving record
- Must pass and maintain a medical and dental exam for deployment(s)
- Must be available on both short and long-term deployments away from home, both CONUS and OCONUS consisting of up to 80% travel
- Secret clearance
- U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR
- U.S. Citizenship
- Willingness to work on government contracts
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Must be willing to work on government contracts and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior military instructor/Special Operations experience
- Special Forces, SEAL, Special Tactics, Ranger, Force Recon / MARSOC, Scout, Forward Observer, TACP, or Aviation backgrounds
- Prior hobby experience with Remote Controlled (RC) aircraft
