Job Summary
Fabricate custom conveyor belting by measuring, slitting, cutting, marking, grinding, and splicing using hand tools and light industrial equipment. Follow work instructions, inspect finished products against quality standards, and manage shipping and receiving of belts. Operate a forklift for fabrication, shipping, and receiving needs, with training provided. Perform occasional onsite installation and splicing of customer conveyor belts, which may involve overnight travel. Work M-F with flexible daytime hours, available for overtime, holidays, and odd hours upon request. Maintain a professional appearance, communicate effectively with customers and peers, and lift up to 75 lbs independently.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to independently and safely use and/or operate necessary tools and equipment (hand tools, presses, cutters, grinders, etc.)
- Accurately read tape measure
- Available for occasional overnight travel and to work overtime, holidays, and/or odd hours upon request without prior notice
- Must be able to independently perform occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance
- Must be able to communicate with customers
- Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical background or hands-on/fabrication type related experience
- English major preferred
