Job Summary
Field Service Representative - Power Distribution responsible for installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair or replacement of customer equipment. Provides documentation including test reports and service summaries; instructs customers on operation and maintenance; performs warranty work and start-up service; constructs and tests circuits using tools and equipment; provides technical support and training to customers and other service reps; analyzes complex problems in equipment and systems and collaborates with product support/engineering to determine solutions; develops design modifications and installation support; builds and maintains customer relationships and documents service activities; requires electrical apprenticeship or electrical engineering degree and about 50% travel with on-site work at customer locations.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical apprenticeship (8,000 hours) OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (spoken and written)
- Travel: 50%
- Experience with electrical start-up and testing (circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, capacitor banks) or equivalent military experience such as Navy Nuclear Electronic Technicians or Electrician’s Mate
