Job Summary
Provide on-site technical support for commercial construction projects involving specialty building materials (e.g., roofing systems, waterproofing, membranes). Conduct site visits during active installations to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards; read and interpret construction drawings and scope documents; identify installation issues and recommend corrective actions; perform final inspections to confirm installations meet technical and warranty requirements; train contractors and field teams on installation methods and product applications; collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges; document site activity and project updates using internal systems; support warranty investigations and coordinate corrective actions; partner with internal sales and technical teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction; follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in construction, field service, or related technical role within commercial construction environments
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Working knowledge of construction practices, materials, and job site safety standards
- Experience performing field inspections, quality control, or installation oversight
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve field issues
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Office, email, reporting systems)
- Ability to travel 70–80% to job sites (multi-day travel required)
