Job Summary
Field Service Quality Coordinator role at Sperry Drilling focuses on driving service quality, reliability improvement, and operational excellence across field operations, repair & maintenance, and support functions. Responsibilities include leading failure investigations, analyzing performance trends, implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve tool reliability and customer satisfaction, ensuring HMS standards, preparing customer-facing failure reports, conducting audits, and collaborating with operations, engineering, reliability, and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement of RSS, MWD/LWD, and drilling services technologies. Required qualifications emphasize a STEM degree, at least 4 years in service quality/reliability/oil & gas operations, investigative/root-cause analysis experience, strong communication and travel ability, plus preferred experience with RSS/MWD/LWD, data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL, Python), and knowledge of HMS/quality systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related technical discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in service quality, reliability, field operations, maintenance, engineering, or related oil and gas operations
- Experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, failure analysis, or performance improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to travel to field and maintenance locations as required
- Preferred: experience in drilling services, RSS, MWD/LWD, downhole tools, repair and maintenance operations or reliability programs
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or Python
- Familiarity with HMS or quality systems
- Lean Six Sigma or related certifications are a plus
