Job Summary
As a Field Service Technician/Professional for Vivint (NRG), you install smart home technology (security cameras, smart locks, home automation) and proactively identify and sell upgrades on-site while delivering consultative sales and customer education. The role includes a take-home company vehicle, 4-day work weeks (4/10 schedule, Saturdays included), paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities for advancement within a national organization. Physical requirements include lifting up to 45 lbs, climbing ladders, bending/kneeling/standing for extended periods, and performing safety analyses in customer homes. Customer-facing duties emphasize technical installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and on-site equipment recommendations, with emphasis on sales-driven growth alongside a strong safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to lift/carry up to 45 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders (up to 14 feet)
- Ability to work in attics/ confined spaces
- Pass post-offer background investigation and licensing requirements per applicable law
- Technical aptitude in installation and service of smart home tech
