Field Service Operations - Service Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical service and troubleshooting for engines on stationary plants or sea-going vessels, including dismantling, checking, and inspecting fuel equipment or turbochargers. Assist engineers during onboard service jobs and in workshops while diagnosing failure reasons and assembling components after repair. Prepare reports for routine jobs, maintain business relations with customers, and handle various projects at all organizational levels. Requires intensive travel via car, train, plane, or launch boat, with flexibility to change plans for professional exigencies. Finish service reports within two days of job completion and return tools in good condition. Adhere to internal Everllence rules and regulations while performing other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or acceptable to meet the competency requirements of education or experience
- One or two years of experience and/or training
- Basic knowledge and interest of control systems and electronic and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Sound knowledge of 4-st and 2-st engines and possibly turbochargers and propellers
- First aid
- Crane and forklift training
- Rigging
- Safety training courses
- Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in wet, humid, hot conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places
- Working in an engine room where other engines are running, and dealing with high temperatures, humidity, vibrations, and loud noises
- Requires intensive travelling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases via helicopter at short notice
- Ability to be flexible changing plans to comply with professional circumstances and exigencies
