Job Summary
Field Service Mechanic position responsible for on-site hydraulic hose service across southeastern Wisconsin. Key duties include responding to service calls to replace hydraulic hoses, tubing, and fittings; diagnosing hose failures and determining repairs; fabricating replacement hoses on-site using a fully equipped service vehicle; clearly communicating repairs and recommendations to customers; identifying additional service or replacement needs on location; safely operating and maintaining the company-provided service van; and participating in a rotating on-call schedule with additional pay. The role is hands-on and field-based, with independence at customer sites including manufacturing facilities, construction sites, and fleet yards. Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, strong customer service and communication skills, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Overtime is available (time and a half after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours) along with on-call pay and commission opportunities; benefits include paid time off, holidays, health insurance, 401(k), and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Own basic hand tools
- At least one year of experience in mechanical repair, assembly, or a skilled trade
