Field Service Mechanic

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and brake systems on cranes, concrete pumps, trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment at customer sites. Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and emergency repairs while reading schematics, service manuals, and blueprints. Complete welding and light fabrication as needed, accurately document service reports and warranty information, and maintain a clean, organized service truck. Communicate job progress and repair recommendations to customers and the service team while ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and company procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service during every field visit. Full-time, permanent position with a respected industry leader in Phoenix, Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or commercial vehicles
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class B CDL (minimum)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Lift up to 75 pounds
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery and mechanical equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Forklift Certification
- CPR / First Aid Certification
