Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn parts, and install new assemblies to keep machines in operating condition. Perform prompt repairs or replacements on customer premises, inspect and test equipment upon delivery and at specified intervals, and consult with the Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedules. Report time, parts, travel, and mileage to ensure correct billing, complete work orders and job-related paperwork timely, and maintain a neat personal appearance and service truck. Drive a company vehicle with a valid license and DOT certification, including occasional overnight stays at out-of-town locations. Perform routine calls, assemble machines if necessary, and train operators on machine functions and warranty requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- DOT certifiable
- Age of 21 years or older
- Some vocational or formal schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair
- Three years on the job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics
- Pass the tacker test

- Pass the AWSD14 Welding Test
