Field Service Foreman – Reciprocating Compressors

Job Summary
Field Service Foreman leading reciprocating compressor maintenance, overhaul, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting at customer sites in Texas, Louisiana, and across the United States. Oversees field crews of mechanics, millwrights, and subcontractors, manages safety and quality, coordinates outages, and ensures alignment with OEM procedures and project requirements. Requires hands-on experience with reciprocating compressors, OEM platforms, and capability to supervise field execution from pre-job planning through commissioning and startup. Emphasizes leadership, customer-facing communication, and adherence to safety and project schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of field service experience supporting reciprocating compressors
- Minimum 2+ years of experience leading field crews as a Foreman, Lead Mechanic, Lead Millwright, or equivalent supervisory role
- Demonstrated experience performing major overhauls, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on reciprocating compressors
- Experience with one or more major compressor OEM platforms (Ariel, Cooper-Bessemer, Worthington, Clark, Ingersoll Rand, Dresser-Rand, Gemini, Superior, Caterpillar Gas Compression Equipment, Waukesha Engine Driven Compression Systems)
- Strong understanding of compressor frame geometry, piston rod runout, bearing inspections, valve maintenance, and compressor performance fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Travel willingness to Texas, Louisiana, and across the United States
- Pre-employment requirements including drug screening, hair follicle testing, valid driver's license, TWIC card preferred
