Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and optimize TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines at customer sites while supporting installation, commissioning, and roll-out across the UK. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues through preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, building strong relationships with site contacts to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. Travel throughout your region for service activities, occasionally staying overnight, while accurately recording machine status and updates using digital systems. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and maintaining high safety standards under established procedures. This rotating schedule includes flexibility for shift or weekend work as the team scales ahead of the Deposit Return Scheme launch in October 2027.
Required Qualifications
- A solid foundation in electro-mechanical systems
- Full UK driving license
- Flexibility to travel and manage your own schedule in a field-based role
- Comfortable working using power tools/hands tools both independently and as part of a wider, supportive team
- A curious and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- A customer-focused approach
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Occasional shift or weekend work may be required overtime
- Rotating schedule (rota-based)
- Ability to follow established safety procedures, including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards
