Job Summary
Hands-on Field Service Engineer/Technician to diagnose, commission, maintain, and improve autonomous street-sweeper systems. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and mechatronic faults on autonomous vehicles, read electrical schematics and hydraulic/mechanical diagrams, run fault-finding with diagnostic tools and software, and troubleshoot software/control-system issues with engineering teams. Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, repair work in both field and workshop, documenting issues and actions, and providing technical support to customers and internal teams. Regular travel to customer sites, workshops, and test areas (typically 50% or more). Fluent English and German required; valid driving license. Nice-to-have: experience with CAN bus diagnostics, field-testing, and knowledge of municipal/mobile machinery or automotive systems.
Required Qualifications
- Completed technical education, apprenticeship, technician qualification, or engineering degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive technology, industrial maintenance, automation technology, or a similar technical field.
- Strong hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more.
- Fluent communication in English and German; German at least B2.
