Field Service Engineer (Southeast region UK)

Job Summary
Install, commission, and configure FP franking equipment at customer premises while performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to maximize performance. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and connectivity faults, completing repairs and replacing faulty components to minimize downtime. Collect old equipment and deliver Folder Inserter Machines, responding to service calls within agreed targets and providing operational guidance and user training. Accurately complete service reports, maintain company stock and tools, and collaborate with Technical Support and Sales teams to ensure prompt resolution. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and adhere to Health & Safety requirements. This role supports a mostly remote position based in Dartford, Kent, with opportunities for career development within an international organization.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Technical Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role
- Technical qualification or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills covering mechanical, electrical and software-related equipment
- Good IT skills and confidence using laptops, mobile devices, and service management systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with the ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel throughout the assigned service territory
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing mailing, print, document handling, office automation or electromechanical equipment
- Experience working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Knowledge of networking, connectivity and basic software configuration
- Experience using CRM or Field Service Management systems
