Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for performing marine-related mechanical and electrical service and commissioning tasks at customer sites, including on-site supervision, troubleshooting, warranty issues, and testing. You will prepare commissioning and calibration reports, send progress reports to service coordinators/Managers, and provide technical support and advice to customers. The role involves frequent international travel, interacting with ship crews, superintendents, and yards, and ensuring compliance with work-site regulations and safe practices. Training customers and new technicians, conducting risk assessments, and adapting to changing environments are key aspects; requires strong technical expertise and a customer-focused mindset. English proficiency, ability to work independently, and a driver’s license are required; nice-to-have experience in Marine Engineering or service-yard contexts. The position is stationed in Sjöbo, Sweden, with an emphasis on remote collaboration within a global service team.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent working experience in Electrical Engineering or the Mechanical field
- Solid mechanical skills with interest in electrical development
- Experience with safety protocols and quality standards
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Driver's license
