Job Summary
Field Service Engineer who will service and repair diagnostic instruments at customer sites within San Francisco and Northern California, including preventative maintenance, retrofit installation, and troubleshooting across a multi-state region. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, installing and repairing instruments manufactured by Luminex Corporation, managing an expense account and spare parts, interfacing with customers, submitting written reports, using CRM for documentation, and meeting service metrics (response times, PM completion, service callbacks, customer satisfaction). The role requires technical training in Electronics Technology or Computer Science, 1+ year field service experience, English and local language proficiency, and the ability to travel up to 75% with potential international travel. The position involves standard field service duties during daytime hours with occasional extended days, and may require travel on short notice.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school or military technical training equivalent in Electronics Technology or Computer Science required
- Biotechnical training or associate degree or higher in an engineering discipline a plus preferred
- 1+ Years Experience in one of the following: Field Service, In-house Biomed, Customer facing role required
- High mechanical aptitude and good problem solving/communication skills
- Fluency in English as well as local language of the residential country is required
- Knowledge of electronic measuring equipment
- Ability to work with a team
- Customer relationship skills
- Valid Passport or eligibility required
