Job Summary
Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair on Beckman Coulter equipment while providing technical training to customers and newer engineers. Maintain accurate service logs, order repair parts, and utilize business systems like OBI and Sales Force for call planning. Communicate with internal and external customers to address unique needs and foster collaboration. This role requires 100% travel, including overnight visits, within the Raleigh/Durham area, and reports to the Field Service Manager. An associate degree in a technical field and one year of experience diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic systems are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (prefer technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related) or equivalent military experience
- 1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation
- Hands on experience with troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to travel – 100% travel, some overnight visits required, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.)
- Candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Candidates must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, have good hand, and finger dexterity
Desired Qualifications
- It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 3+ years' experience of advanced troubleshooting
