Job Summary
Test and validate repaired equipment, run samples to analyze results, and perform requalification of used systems. Provide technical assistance for installing, servicing, and repairing probes, then train customers on basic operation and secure acceptance sign-off. Re-qualify instruments after repairs by running complex compounds for verification and serve as the communication link between the customer and company. Work with the Service and Support Center to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Biotech discipline
- Minimum 3 years hands-on work experience operating and troubleshooting NMR equipment
- Ability to run samples and read Spectra reports
- Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with Scientists that possess a Ph.D. (or Master's Degree) in Biochemistry, Biophysics or Microbiology
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and related materials to troubleshoot and diagnose issues down to the component level
- English language spoken and written fluency with strong verbal, written, MS Office, computer, technical data, networking communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment
- Ability to satisfactorily complete position compliance and training requirements
- Attend and actively participate in quarterly scientific technical training programs
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs.
- Reasonable dexterity to perform manual functions in confined spaces
- Proven ability to follow safety standards, practices, and codes
- Reliable transportation with valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
- Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel
- May be required to pass security clearance investigation
