Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for delivering service on sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across research, industrial, and healthcare settings; provide exceptional customer service and training to customers on equipment operation. Requires strong electronics/mechanical troubleshooting, ability to read technical schematics, travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and relevant hands-on experience are required; proficiency with service-management software and Microsoft Office is expected. The role involves working in laboratory environments with PPE and may involve cross-site customer interactions to support scientific advancement and product uptime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
- 2 years hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing complex analytical instruments
- Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills; ability to diagnose issues down to component level
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory
- Flexibility to work in laboratory and office environments; adhere to safety protocols
