Job Summary
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Alcon surgical equipment within the Long Island service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades. Handle complex technical tasks to ensure equipment functions effectively per specifications while developing relationships with customers to secure Annual Maintenance Contract sales and renewals. Document service logs, prepare failure analysis reports, and escalate issues to engineering teams. Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following SOPs and maintaining accurate documentation for quality control. Manage daily schedules and communicate with dispatch, managers, and cross-functional teams. This role requires advanced technical knowledge and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 2 years of Relevant Experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds – i.e., tools, replacement parts, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Resolve problems, think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure, time-sensitive customer environments
- Experience working with advance medical devices and with medical devices that use lasers
- Accustomed to working with hospital operating room and surgery center protocols
- Working knowledge of ServiceMax / CRM tools
