Job Summary
Field Service Engineer for heat-treat equipment. 50% travel and 50% in-house equipment builds, maintenance, and installs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment onsite, building and fabricating furnaces for pre-installation, electro-mechanical maintenance and repair, and commissioning of equipment at customer plants. Requirements include a 2-year technical degree or equivalent training (or military), minimum 2 years of field service experience in mechanical/electrical repair or installation, knowledge of industrial control systems and PLCs, strong problem-solving and multi-project coordination abilities, and good communication and attendance. Preferred familiarity with RS Logix and MS Office Suite.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of field service experience in mechanical, machinery, or electrical repair service and/or installation field
- Working knowledge of industrial control systems and PLCs
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to problem solve effectively
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to make good judgement decisions
- Ability to maintain good attendance
- Preferred experience or familiarity with RS Logix or other PLC software
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Preferred 2-year technical degree or equivalent technical military training or demonstrated job related knowledge
