Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery while performing post-installation testing to ensure optimal performance. Conduct on-site training for customer operators regarding machine function, maintenance, and safety protocols. Accurately log service activity, diagnostics, parts usage, and resolutions in customer records. Manage a regional travel schedule involving regular overnight stays to support diverse customer sites. Requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience, with comprehensive training provided for electromechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics. Full-time, travel-based role with stable year-round work and overtime potential.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology)
- equivalent military technical experience
- demonstrated experience in the maintenance field
- Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment
- Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics
- skilled in using diagnostic tools (gauges, test indicators, force meters)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- capable of working independently
- Must be available for regional travel with regular overnight stays
- Must be based in Detroit, MI
