Job Summary
Hands-on Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair MRI, CT, and digital X-ray systems in outpatient radiology environments. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, functional inspections, and maintaining accurate service documentation while collaborating with site staff, manufacturer representatives, and clinical teams. Candidates should be able to work independently in clinical settings, provide guidance on equipment performance, participate in training to maintain OEM certifications, and support on-call coverage with occasional evenings or weekends. A bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related discipline (or equivalent) and 3–5 years of field service experience are expected; relocation assistance is available; domestic travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of field service experience with MRI, CT, and/or digital X-ray systems; Siemens or GE OEM training is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related discipline (or equivalent technical/military training)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and networking components
- Proven ability to work independently in clinical environments
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in both standing and seated positions for extended periods
- Proficiency with service documentation, computer systems, and mobile tools
- Willingness to travel domestically and respond to on-call service needs
