Job Summary

Conduct on-site installation of sophisticated electron microscopy equipment and perform scheduled maintenance visits. Provide diagnosis and repair support for customers, including troubleshooting complex systems down to the component level. Travel frequently to resolve problems and deliver training on system maintenance to users. Submit field service reports and provide feedback to product quality teams for documentation updates. Act as a subject expert resource while cultivating relationships with customers and internal personnel. Requires valid driver's license, passport, and ability to lift 40 lbs in a cleanroom environment with PPE.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field OR equivalent combination of education and technical experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex analytical instrumentation such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Consistent record of fixing sophisticated systems and subsystems down to the component level
  • Literate in MS DOS and Windows software environments
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Familiar with UHV phenomenon and technology
  • Ability to acquire a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and able to walk a min of 10k steps per day
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Standing for full shift
  • Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
