Job Summary
Install and set up intraoperative ultrasound equipment, including systems and transducers, at customer locations to prepare devices for clinical use. Repair equipment by replacing parts according to manufacturer specifications, operate software to analyze malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and certification. Consult with customers on best practices for equipment maintenance, resolve technical issues, and provide phone support and troubleshooting assistance. Process customer requests using designated CRM software, prepare service documentation for regulatory compliance, and manage inventory levels. Travel up to 75% across Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Components or related technical degree
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the medical device industry, field service engineering, customer facing repair, product maintenance, or medical device remote support
- 4 years experience
- Computer expertise
- Familiarity with Windows OS
- Demonstrated expertise with hardware and software troubleshooting
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work independently, without direct supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional and confident demeanor
- Attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High passion and comfort level with software and technology in general
- Ability to Travel up to 75%
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Compliance with GEHC's standard background check
- Compliance with post-offer drug test
- Compliance with customer access policies
- Obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations
- Compliance with additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government)
- Register and maintain compliance with one or more vendor credentialing organizations as deemed by various customer hospitals/health systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- In lieu of an Associates or Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 2 years experience in the medical device industry, field service engineering, customer facing repair, product maintenance, or medical device remote support
- 4 years is preferred
- High passion and comfort level with software and technology in general
