Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer I is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and instrument services for MSD equipment. Key duties include performing Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification of instruments, troubleshooting issues remotely, and maintaining service records. Candidates should possess an Associate's degree in an engineering discipline and have at least 3 years of field service experience. Additional qualifications include proficiency in Windows & MS Office, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to travel extensively for the job.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field service
- Working knowledge of instrument repair with strong understanding of mechanical & electronic dynamics
- Solid oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment
- Familiarity with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems
