Field Service Engineer I

Job Summary
Conduct on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and software/hardware upgrades for laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, kiosk equipment, and high-voltage UPS systems. Manage and complete assigned work orders in the Emsar Computerized Management System platform while adhering to quality practices specified by EMSAR and product vendors. Provide intermediate-level engineering support, perform performance verifications, and operate onsite at dedicated client facilities with regional day and overnight travel required. Maintain professional assets, tools, and test equipment while collaborating with dispatchers and supporting entry-level technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years' technical experience
- Valid driver license and liability insurance
- Ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles
- Associates degree or higher and/or Trade school degree
- 1+ years technical experience (internship, externship, apprentice is acceptable)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 125 pounds without assistance
- Regional day and overnight travel required

- Effective communication that results in positive internal/external relationships
- Associate is able to prioritize and plan activities and uses time efficiently
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures as a field service engineer for any one, or more, divisions
- Works independently with some direct supervision
- Analytical: Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, policies and procedures
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
