Job Summary
Field Service Engineer (FSE) to service and maintain Olympus medical product lines in Indiana; provide expert level technical support, install and test new equipment, train customers on operation, escalate issues to service management, collaborate with territory Sales Representatives, and travel to customer facilities for on-site support and demonstrations. Responsibilities include customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance adherence, feedback for product improvements, post-install testing, and supporting conventions/trials; must be able to work independently, multitask, and communicate effectively under time-sensitive conditions. Preferred: Bachelor's degree and certifications (e.g., CompTIA Net+ / A+), networking/PACS/DICOM knowledge; this role supports onsite field/office/flex environments with travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline or four plus years of equivalent experience (medical devices preferred)
- Minimum one to three years as a Field Service Engineer, or equivalent experience
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Ability to travel on short notice and work independently
- Ability to travel overnight (>40%)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with troubleshooting electromechanical / microprocessor-based products
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
