Job Summary
Field Service Engineer I will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on GE HealthCare medical equipment for hospital/healthcare systems in the Atlanta area. Responsibilities include maintenance and basic repairs, assisting more experienced engineers with installations, proactive customer communication, regulatory/compliance documentation, and coordinating with sales to recommend value-added services. Requires after-hours/on-call availability, valid driver’s license, and ability to manage multiple priorities; prior experience with medical equipment servicing and GE HealthCare apprenticeships are preferred. Relocation assistance is provided; position is remote in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- Or high school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience
- Or graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends
- Experience with Web applications and Microsoft suite
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship
