Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for hands-on technical support, operation, and maintenance of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Balance of Plant (BOP) infrastructure across the Philippines. Primary technical POC for customers, managing site health via preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, ensuring safety compliance (NFPA 70E, JHA, LOTO), and coordinating with third-party contractors. Core duties include performing RCA for equipment failures, leading QC activities, assisting with commissioning and performance verification, and coordinating with vendors for warranty claims while ensuring service delivery aligns with customer contracts. Requires ability to travel up to 50% across the Philippines, strong English communication, and experience with SCADA, CMMS, and electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (EE), Electronics Communications Engineering (ECE), an equivalent technical field, or strong relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in plant operation and maintenance, field service, commissioning of industrial electrical systems
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong ability to read electrical drawings, knowledge of protection schemes, and troubleshooting
