Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment. Serves as an independent product expert for EVG product lines, implements detailed installation plans, trains customer personnel, provides onsite technical support for equipment and process applications, and conducts local customer meetings. Requires travel up to 75% (domestic and international), the ability to work onsite in cleanroom environments, and an engineering degree with hands-on experience in semiconductor/electronic production equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
- up to four years of experience installing/repairing semiconductor/electronic production equipment
- Advanced electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of statistical process control
- Knowledge of quality improvement process methods and terminology
- Ability to identify and solve advanced process-related system problems
- Ability to communicate and demonstrate professional conduct with all levels of Management, personnel, and customers
- Must have advanced PC skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% and possess a valid passport
- Must be able to operate EVG-hired vehicles and have a valid driver’s license
