Field Service Engineer, Energy Industries

Execute service and engineering activities related to protection relays and LV/MV switchgear; perform commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of protection relay systems to ensure reliable operation. Configure and test protection relays (feeder protection, differential, overcurrent, distance) with first-time-right execution; analyze disturbance records, event logs, and fault data to evaluate system performance and identify optimization opportunities. Support SCADA/DCS/IEC 61850 integration for seamless communication and interoperability of protection relay systems. Diagnose relay and electrical system failures on-site or remotely, identify root causes, and propose preventive actions. Collaborate with customers on-site to resolve technical issues, recommend upgrades, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements. Prepare method statements, test procedures, service reports, and material lists while maintaining HSE standards. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; hybrid work arrangement at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
