Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role handling servicing, troubleshooting, installation, calibration and preventive maintenance for Elekta modalities in the Hong Kong area. Responsibilities include serving as the liaison and technical advisor to customers, providing phone/email support, performing routine and validated maintenance, conducting field change orders and safety checks, interpreting blueprints/schematics, instructing customers in proper use of equipment, supporting sales with technical advice, staying current on Elekta products, and traveling up to 30% domestically and internationally. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, 5+ years of field service experience on complex electronic or capital equipment, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel; experience with medical device field service is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in field service and troubleshooting complex electronic or capital equipment
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive, independent and patient with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Elekta products and related medical device field service preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software/hardware interfaces
- Readiness to perform installations and planned maintenance as required
- Ability to work independently and in a team, adhering to GMP/ESD requirements
