Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair advanced Electron Microscopy instrumentation at customer sites across research, industrial, and healthcare settings. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and high-voltage systems, and deliver technical support and customer training. Document all service activities and prepare detailed reports while collaborating with internal engineering teams. Travel 50–75% within the Sevilla and Cádiz territory, adhering to strict safety protocols and PPE requirements. This role supports Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer through scientific innovation and advanced analytical solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in laboratory environments
  • Proficiency in English
  • Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments
  • Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high-voltage equipment
  • Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports
  • Demonstrated success in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to diagnose issues to component level
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and service management software
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
