Job Summary
Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics Solutions) in Rwanda responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining complex diagnostic laboratory instruments, delivering on-site and remote technical support, performing preventive and corrective maintenance including software/hardware upgrades, logging and resolving customer complaints, and supporting new product launches. Requires collaborating with Applications, Commercial, Marketing, Quality, and Customer Service teams; travelling within East Africa and international travel; ensuring instrument functionality and customer satisfaction, with a focus on proactive problem-solving, documentation, and after-hours support when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel regularly within East Africa and occasionally internationally
