Job Summary
Conduct field-based repair and maintenance for emergency lights, fire systems, and electrical products across Devon, working directly with customers ranging from elderly to vulnerable individuals. Perform testing and upkeep of company and third-party equipment while operating a company vehicle with full Category B license. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and comfort working at heights or in confined spaces. Required Qualifications
- proven experience as a Field Engineer
- electrical and electronic experience
- experience maintaining or testing Emergency Lights
- experience maintaining or testing Fire Systems
- experience maintaining or testing electrical/electronic products
- An Electrical/Electronic qualification at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Full Category B UK driving license (for manual vehicles)
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to demonstrate effective team working
- Effective time management & planning skills
- Comfortable working at heights and/or in confined dusty spaces
- Experience of working with the elderly or vulnerable
