Job Summary
Field Service Engineer based in France with remote work eligibility and 80% travel across the central Europe region; responsible for installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of Molecular Devices instruments, providing on-site technical support, OQ planning, and customer-facing service delivery across assigned territory. Requires proficiency in mechanical/electrical domains, problem-solving, and strong communication; travel to France and occasional other locations; driver’s license required. Desirable extras include IT/network knowledge and experience with cellular imaging or laboratory environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industry-relevant work experience in a similar role
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and electrical skills with assembly-level fault detection and testing
- Customer-focused, good communication, ability to work independently and take ownership from start to finish
- Ability to travel – minimum 80% utilization; regular overnight travel within France and occasional travel to other sites for training or support
