Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for in-field commissioning, warranty, and service assignments as required and also handle and support customer issues remotely from the Service Desk in Bergen. Responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, troubleshooting with Corvus field service personnel, creating/updating customer issue tickets, downloading/analyzing data, connecting to remote systems for diagnostics and software configuration, creating RMAs and Sales Orders, escalating issues to engineering, traveling to customer sites, maintaining skills, and producing internal/customer-facing documentation. Emphasizes electrical-mechanical and software skills, independent work, and willingness to travel internationally within a global, sustainable maritime-energy context. Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in field of Electronics or Computer Technician or equivalent work experience.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to electrical-mechanical and software systems.
- Proven professional English skills, both verbal and in writing
- Hands on experience installing and testing hardware and software in an industrial environment.
- Hands-on mentality.
- Organized and good multitasking skills with the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Digital native embracing modern software and digital tools
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and crisis management skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and work internationally.
