Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will provide on-site technical direction for control system installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance across various facilities. Key responsibilities include validating control systems, leading installation activities while adhering to quality and safety standards, and preparing comprehensive technical reports. To succeed, you'll need a relevant engineering degree, extensive field experience with rotating equipment, and strong problem-solving skills. You will also need proficiency in control systems and the ability to ensure compliance with local regulations and safety manuals.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) preferred.
- Technical Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of field experience working with gas turbines, compressors, or rotating equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate hands-on proficiency with Mark VIe/VI/V control systems, PLCs, or safety systems.
- Solid Health, Safety, and Environmental mindset with full compliance to HSE standards.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (at least 70%), including internationally and offshore.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Hands-on proficiency with HDGT or ADGT instrumentation, control logic, and auxiliary systems.
- Experience with DLN or DLE systems mapping.
