Job Summary
Investigate problems and develop solutions for pre- and post-sales activities with strong hands-on skills. Install, maintain, and repair Bio-techne Spatial instrumentation while running basic staining assays for testing protocols. Identify customer problems, report feedback, and keep service documentation up to date. Drive results by consistently achieving goals and pushing to complete tasks by deadlines. This role includes frequent travel on short notice, up to 85%. Candidates must have at least 3 years' experience in field service engineering in life sciences or medical devices, relevant industry qualifications, and a valid driving license.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in field service engineering in life sciences, research/diagnostics, or medical devices
- Relevant industry specific qualifications in Microsystems, Mechanical engineering, Bioengineering, electrical engineering, microscopy optics
- Hands on experience in basic laboratory techniques
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis experience
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Must have a valid driving license
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, working with heavy complex devices, confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in IT support for software and hardware
- Additional language skills
- Experience in field service engineering in other industries
- Hands on experience in basic laboratory techniques – preferable

- You are hands-on and like to solve problems
- You can manage technical work in the field even with little supervision
- You are capable to interpret technical issues from descriptions given by customers
