Field Service Engineer (Between Glasgow and Edinburgh along the M8 Corridor)

Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role spanning the UK (Remote – UK regions including Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Northeast England). Responsible for on-site installation, calibration, fault finding, servicing, and training of customer equipment; perform upgrades/refurbishments at customer sites; handle on-site queries with professional customer interaction; contribute to paperwork and adhere to health and safety regulations; participate in on-call standby and overtime as required; require willingness to travel and stay away overnight occasionally; must maintain diverse product knowledge and provide technical support by phone/email when needed. Emphasis on electromechanical/electrical engineering skills, PLC programming (advantage), and strong customer service and organisational capabilities. The role is aligned with ITW values and the company’s decentralised, entrepreneurial culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BTEC/ONC/HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical / electrical engineering
- Full current driving licence
- Good PC literacy
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and stay away overnight occasionally
- Experience in field service role (ideally) and familiarity with commissioning, repairs, and servicing
- PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organisational skills
- Hands-on, proactive mindset and ITW values alignment
