Job Summary
Field Service Engineer responsible for on-site installation and field support of complex semiconductor equipment. Provides highly visible customer support, performs diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of hardware and software, and verifies operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers on operation and maintenance; serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customer needs and clarifies whether problem resolution falls to sales, customer support, or engineers. Role may include a broad range of field-support activities beyond hardware/software/networking. Requires typically a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of professional experience.
