Job Summary
Field Service Engineer for the Automation Industry, traveling across North America to support data center startups, on-site mechanical/electrical/control checks, and startup/acceptance testing of warehouse and manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with automation and controls engineers, communicate progress to customers and project teams, and participate in rotating travel schedules (e.g., 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, or 14 on/7 off). The role includes four weeks of paid training, a starting salary in the $60k–$75k range with per diem, mileage, and bonuses, and opportunities for growth through merit raises and a 5% raise after six months. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering or an equivalent technical degree/experience
- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in related field
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must live within 50 miles of a major airport or be eligible for relocation within travel constraints
- Personal vehicle available within 45 days of employment for local projects
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel internationally or domestically as part of field assignments
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking
- Ability to walk/logistics across facilities and perform physically demanding tasks as described (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, etc.)
- A proven track record of adaptability and teamwork in field-service environments
